Airsoft battery safety guide

An airsoft battery must be handled with great care. We have therefore created this guide so you know how to handle your battery.

  • Any disruption to the structure of a battery can cause damage and ignition.
  • The positive and negative terminals must not be connected, as this can cause permanent damage to the battery or lead to ignition.
  • A battery must not be heated or exposed to low temperatures.
  • A battery must never be exposed to liquid.
  • A battery can be subject to mechanical damage. Mechanical damage can cause permanent damage and result in the battery igniting.
  • A battery should be charged according to the instructions provided with it. The red wire (+) should be connected to the red wire (positive port) on the charger. The black wire (-) should be connected to the black wire (negative port) on the charger.
  • Each battery cell can be charged up to 3.7V. This value must not be exceeded. Other charger settings may cause irreversible damage to the battery.
  • A battery should be charged under constant supervision (even high-quality batteries) on a non-flammable surface made of non-conductive materials.
  • A battery should be charged with a charger that is suitable and compatible with batteries. Using an unsuitable charger may cause permanent damage to the battery.
  • Charging a battery to a value lower than 3V per cell may cause damage.
  • If a battery is used incorrectly, it may be permanently damaged or catch fire.
  • If the electrolyte in a battery comes into contact with your eyes or skin, immediately rinse the contaminated area with water and contact a doctor without delay.
  • When battery charging is complete, the battery should be disconnected from the charger immediately.
  • If any changes are noticed in the battery (f.eks. color, swelling, excessive temperature), use of the battery should be discontinued.
  • A battery should be used in a way that prevents third parties from accessing it.
  • Care must be taken when installing a battery. Any short circuit can cause the battery to catch fire and, in extreme situations, explode.
  • A battery that has been mechanically damaged, overcharged, or deeply discharged is considered unusable.
  • To keep a battery in good condition, it should be balanced during charging (a good charger has a built-in balancer).
  • It may be a good idea to get a charger with a storage function that will either charge or discharge the battery until it reaches 3.7V per cell.

Neither the distributor nor the manufacturer accepts any responsibility for possible damage resulting from incorrect use of a battery.
