Maintenance of gas-powered AIRSOFT – how to keep your weapon in top condition
Gas-powered
1. Keep your weapon clean
Gas-powered replicas easily collect dust, dirt and grease after use. Over time, this can affect moving parts and cause uneven function. Therefore, always wipe the weapon after play and do a simple cleaning regularly.
A good starting point is Ultrair degreasing spray. It effectively removes oil, grease and other impurities without being unnecessarily harsh on the parts, and is especially useful after intensive use or dusty environments.
2. Lubrication is the key to longevity
To reduce wear and ensure smooth operation, moving parts and seals should be properly lubricated. Use a lubricant that is suitable for O-rings, gaskets, and the materials in the replica.
Silicone spray with spray cap is well suited for this. Apply a thin layer after use or as needed, especially on sliding or moving areas and on parts with seals. Avoid overdoing it, as too much oil can attract dirt.
3. Maintenance of exhaust valves and gas mechanics

4. Storage and transportation
When not in use, the weapon should be stored dry and protected from impact. Moisture and impact can damage both surfaces and internal components, especially over time.
Please see our selection of storage for safe transport and storage.
For maintenance equipment we recommend Service case cordura coyote. The bag is made of durable Cordura fabric and is well suited as a compact solution for field maintenance, while giving you better control over small parts and equipment.
5. Should the magazine be stored with pressure or gas?
This depends on whether the magazine uses
AIRSOFT Gas: Yes, it is fine to leave some pressure in the magazine when storing. This can help the gaskets keep their shape and seal better over time.- 12g CO2 cartridges: No, always remove the cartridge when you are finished shooting. Leaving the cartridge in, even for a short time like overnight, can increase the risk of wear on seals and leakage.
