How to become a fierce airsoft sniper!

To become an airsoft sniper requires a sniper and some training. To become a fiercely good airsoft sniper requires patience, focus and time. In addition to understanding and knowing how your equipment works and having good technique. You are the safety of your team, taking out the opponents without them (hopefully) knowing where you are! The role of sniper is usually someone who is a more experienced player, but that doesn't mean it can't be you! Practice makes perfect!

In this article you will find our recommended softgun snipers and tips and tricks. Both for those who are advanced and for those who are beginners!

Sniper tips and tricks!

  1. Camouflage.  You don't want your opponent to see you! Always keep an eye on your surroundings, but we recommend a ghille suit if you're out in the woods playing. Just remember when dressing that you will be carrying the suite (can be heavy with a lot of equipment) and that it can get quite hot in the summer. You will find everything from camouflage here !
  2. Location.  You should be able to endure the longest of all, without being mocked! Although it is dead cool to look like a bush in the forest, it is more important to find the right location. An overview of the surroundings and your team is important, as well as being well hidden.
  3. Pack light.  You want to be light on your toes, so don't bring a lot of dead weight. For example, you don't always need to carry a side weapon. As it is easy to get hung up on bushes and other things, in addition to weighing a little.
  4. Breath.  When breathing in and out, you move your body and this affects how you shoot. Therefore, it is important to be as tense as possible. Practice different breathing techniques and find the one that suits you best.

Choose the right airsoft sniper and equipment

We all have different preferences in relation to what we like in addition to the size of our wallet! The most important thing will be to look for a sniper on which you can upgrade spring, hop-up and precision barrel. There are few that come straight out of the box upgraded!

Furthermore, it will be choosing the right weight for the balls. A weight between 0.40g - 0.46g will be optimal for sniper rifles. Another thing to think about is how powerful the sniper is. Since airsoft clubs and games have rules for fps. For bolt action snipers, this is around 450 - 550 fps in Norway. Sniper BB's you will find here!

For sights, we recommend that you buy a binocular sight with 4x magnification. Because you want to be able to see as much of the course as possible at a time, in addition to seeing where the bullet is going and who you are shooting. Greater magnification than 5x and you won't be able to see where the bullet is going. You will find all our binoculars here!

Game-On recommends!

1.  Novritch - SSG10 A2 Airsoft Sniper - M160 (2.8 Joule)  and  Novritch - SSG10 A1  Airsoft Sniper - M160 (2.8 Joule)

First on the list that we recommend is Novritsch's! It's not for nothing! Novritsch is one of the world's most famous airsoft players who has started his own brand! As they write themselves "By players - for players". The two snipers we have on display here are similar in innards and performance, but the SSG10 A2 is a more advanced, heavy, butt-stock tactical rifle with an adjustable cheek rest. It is also possible to upgrade them by changing the springs. The rifles then give you around 730 fps (5 joules) with 0.20g bullets!

2. McMillan M40A3 Sniper  - Proline Springer

Number two on the list can be highly recommended! It is a 1/1 scale replica of the trusted and United Marine Corps approved sniper. M40A4 Proline. Good upgrade options and straight out of the box it shoots 420 fps!

3.  Tokyo Marui VSR-10 G-Specs Sniper - Springer

Next up on the list is of course a Tokyo Marui! With an upgraded VSR-10 model! It has a fps 310 which is probably not the most powerful, but it is one of the most precise snipers to get your hands on!

For beginners

If you are new to snipers, we recommend that before you go to purchase one for many thousands of Swedish kroner, maybe try a slightly more affordable one first. But that being said, it pays to go up in price for snipers, as they usually shoot more precisely! But as your first sniper, these three work very well!

1.  Steyr SSG 69 P2 Softgun Sniper Rifle Springer

This is one of the most popular snipers in this price range! Out of the box it measures 310 fps and 0.9 joules with 0.20g bullets. It has good weight and is balanced, which makes it a dream to shoot with. In addition, it can be easily upgraded with many options!

2.  McMillan M40A3 - Softgun Sniper with Rails

This is a cheaper variant of the one we recommended further up ( McMilan M40A3 Sniper - Proline Springer ) and it works amazingly well for that price! Reliable, powerful and durable sniper that is perfect as a beginner! Output speed of 450 fps and 1.9 joules.

3.  FN Herstal - SPR A2 Spring-powered Softgun Sniper

Last on the list here is a fully licensed FN Herstal Special Police Rifle sniper rifle airsoft replica! Just the name itself promises something good! This affordable goodie comes with an output speed of 445 fps and 1.83 joules!
