Versatile floatation suit for long and short days on or by the water
The Remington Lifeguard III is a warm and robust floatation suit made for those who are out and about when the weather is not always on their side. It works equally well for fishing and boating as for other winter activities where you want a combination of weather protection, visibility and extra safety near the water. The suit has been developed in collaboration with experienced fishermen, with a focus on practical details and comfort during long sessions.
Weather protection that withstands use
The outer layer is made of durable material with a Climatic Extreme membrane that protects against wind and moisture. Remington states 12,000 mm water column and 6,000 g/m²/24h breathability, in addition to taped seams. It provides a good balance between keeping the weather out and being comfortable when you are active.
Heating for winter use
Two insulating layers (ProHeat + EPE) help retain heat, and the manufacturer states comfort down to -30°C when properly layered underneath. This makes the Lifeguard III suitable for both quiet posts at the water's edge, transport on ice and general outdoor use in cold climates.
Safety and visibility in focus
The great advantage of the Lifeguard III is that it is designed to help with buoyancy if you end up in the water. A visible upper part, reflective details and a built-in whistle make it easier to be seen and warn. These are features that many people appreciate when using at sea, on a pier, by a river and lake – and on the ice when the conditions are demanding.
Practical fit and functional details
The suit is made with an anatomical cut and adjustments for better mobility. You get a fixed hood, storm collar, suspenders and belt, as well as reinforced sections (Oxford) in exposed areas. With six pockets it is also easier to keep small equipment available without opening the suit unnecessarily in the cold.
Important information about approvals
As of today, there are no specific EN/ISO approvals for this model. At the same time, it has been developed with a float function and safety details, and internal/external tests are reported to show very good properties in practice.
