Thompson 1928 "Chicago Typewriter"
The Thompson Model 1928, better known as the "Tommy Gun" or "Chicago Typewriter", is one of the most iconic weapons in history. This licensed replica from Cybergun captures the notorious aesthetics of the Prohibition era, complete with a drum magazine and the distinctive front grip.
Store tip: This is the ultimate "gangster rifle". It's perfect for historical games (reenactment) or for anyone who wants to stand out on the airsoft field. The drum magazine holds a full 450 rounds, giving you massive firepower without frequent magazine changes.
Iconic design and solid metal construction
This edition is a true 1:1 scale replica of the 1928 model used by both gangsters and police during the interwar period. The rifle features a solid metal upper receiver that gives it the right weight (approx. 3.2 kg), while the stock and grip are made from high-quality polymer with a highly realistic wood imitation. The fluted barrel and classic Cutts compensator at the muzzle complete the professional look.
Inside, you’ll find a reinforced metal gearbox based on Tokyo Marui’s renowned design. This means the rifle isn’t just reliable straight out of the box—it also has a huge selection of aftermarket parts available for those who want to upgrade its performance even further. With adjustable hop-up and a two-way adjustable rear sight, you have excellent control over accuracy.
Don’t forget the necessary accessories!
To ensure you get the best experience with your Thompson 1928, we recommend the following:
- Battery and charger: We recommend a 9.6V NiMH or 7.4V Li-Po battery (Small Type).
- BBs: Use 0.20g or 0.25g precision BBs for the best stability and rate of fire.
- Maintenance: A small spray of silicone oil in the nozzle and magazine helps prevent feeding issues and dry seals.
