BW10 The Alder Cutting Block Set is perfect for DIY enthusiasts. The set includes 10 blocks made from natural Alder (Alder) wood that is easy to carve. With their smooth and sanded surface, the blocks are ideal for precise designs and can be painted or stained to suit different projects.
Alder is known for being a soft and medium-dense wood that is relatively easy to cut and work with. It is often preferred by woodcarvers and craftsmen because:
- Softness: Alder is softer than many other types of wood, making it easier to cut and shape with both manual and power tools.
- Smooth texture: The wood has a nice, even texture without many knots, which provides a smooth cutting experience.
- Stability: Alder is dimensionally stable and resistant to deformation, making it ideal for projects that require precision.
This makes alder wood a popular choice for carving projects, especially among beginners and those who want an easy-to-work material.
Sizes of the blocks:
- 8 pcs: 2.5x2.5x15cm
- 2 pcs: 5x5x15cm
These blocks are suitable for creating figurines, toys and other decorative objects, providing a durable and aesthetic foundation for any woodworking project.
