Excellent for PCP air rifles, also regular PCP rifles that do not have a slug liner. Hybrid ammunition that has slug properties but lighter weight. The ammunition can offer a flatter bullet trajectory with a tight cluster, also at longer distances.
Pellets, slugs and hybrid - Here's the difference
FX Hybrid slugs are a cross-over between regular air rifle pellets and slugs. Regular pellets have a skirt that seals well in the barrel itself which means you get a more efficient and stable trajectory out of the barrel, but they are also more sensitive to wind and they lose their speed faster.
Slugs are more cartridge shaped and come without a skirt. They are heavier and retain speed and energy more efficiently.
FX's hybrid slugs have the same properties as slugs, but are lighter in weight so that they are better suited to air weapons.
The hybrid slugs are hollowed out, which gives good expansion on impact. The trajectory of the bullet is straighter and more precise than normal pellets and you can shoot at longer distances. They are also designed to be used in regular PCP air rifles, not just those with slug liners!
