The variable tension in the spring is designed so that the spring will last longer over time and maintain a consistent fps.
We recommend that you upgrade other components in the gearbox if you are going to upgrade springs. A stronger spring wears more on the rifle. If you screw on the rifle yourself, the warranty may be void.
